Job Description


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, or later).
  • Perform database administration activities including backup, recovery, cloning, and patching.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively tune SQL, memory, storage, and I/O.
  • Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN environments.
  • Ensure database security, user management, roles, privileges, and auditing.
  • Handle database capacity planning and growth management.
  • Perform disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production environments.
  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.
  • Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or similar tools.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Support 24/7 production environments and participate in on-call rotations as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 9–10 years of proven experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database architecture and internals.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Oracle RAC
  • Data Guard
  • ASM
  • RMAN
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting.
  • Experience with database upgrades and migrations.
  • Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.


Preferred / Nice to Have Skills

  • Oracle certifications (OCA, OCP, or OCM).
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, or Azure).
  • Knowledge of GoldenGate.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and automation.
