The Franklin County Auditor’s Office is seeking a senior-level Program Manager / IT Project Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of in-flight technology projects following a tax accounting system migration. This role is responsible for stabilizing active projects, enforcing delivery discipline, and driving predictable execution across approximately ten application migration initiatives. The role requires minimal ramp-up time and strong experience rescuing or stabilizing complex IT projects.

Provide day-to-day operational management of multiple active IT projects

Report directly to the IT Director and align project execution with leadership priorities

Manage projects involving application migrations, data warehouse updates, and reporting remediation

Break ongoing work into clear milestones, deliverables, and execution plans

Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules and plans
-
Coordinate work across business analysts, developers, SMEs, and external consultants
-
Mentor business analysts on documentation standards and project discipline
-
Facilitate project meetings using Microsoft Teams

Schedule, track, and manage meetings and communications using Microsoft Outlook
-
Deliver concise, executive-level status reporting
-
Identify risks, dependencies, and decision points early and drive resolution

Escalate issues appropriately to maintain delivery timelines

Ensure all project documentation meets audit and compliance requirements

Enforce consistent project management standards across the project portfolio

Perform other related duties as assigned

PMP Certification (Required)

5+ years of hands-on IT project management experience

Proven experience taking over active or distressed IT projects

Demonstrated ability to drive immediate execution with minimal ramp-up

Experience managing multiple concurrent technology projects

Strong delivery-focused project management background

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook

Excellent organization, documentation, and attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

8+ years of senior-level IT project management experience

Experience managing complex, in-flight IT projects

Experience with application migration or modernization initiatives

Experience with data warehouse or reporting projects
