Job Description

General Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include:

•         In the absence of a Program Manager or the Project Director, Junior Project Managers may monitor work efforts, assign resources, delegate tasks and report progress to senior managers and various stakeholders.

•         Supports Program Management Office and documents project-related assignments, issues and risks.

•         Junior Project Manager should be technically astute and assist with creating reports and presentations using a variety of office productivity tools.

•         Junior Project Manager should aim to improve project administration processes by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.

•         Support the Project Management Team by providing prompt and thorough meeting notes, status reports, and other key documentation.

•         Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Years of Experience:  0 – 3 Years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Agile Method is desirable.
  • Prior experience in Healthcare, particularly in a Hospital Acute Care Setting is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute end-user device deployments as assigned by End User Innovations leadership. Collaborate with EITS Finance to support coordinated procurements and ensure awareness of projected funding requirements. Partner with Project Leads and EUI Technicians to deliver deployment milestones on schedule.
  • Unbox, assemble, configure, deploy, and support end-user devices across system facilities. Troubleshoot hardware, software, application, and network connectivity issues, proactively identifying and resolving recurring device problems. Utilize diagnostic tools and standardized methodologies to load, customize, and maintain operating system configurations.
  • Accurately document all deployment activities, including checklists, asset data, work logs, release forms, timelines, personnel, and required tracking information in designated systems. Adhere to established schedules, escalate issues beyond scope to appropriate EUI teams, and ensure timely resolution of restoration activities.
  • Comply with EITS and NYC Health + Hospitals policies, procedures, and warranty requirements; return defective equipment, document repairs, and maintain assigned inventory. Provide professional customer service and effective client support during project implementations. Travel to facilities across the five boroughs as required, manage time efficiently, prioritize workload appropriately, and perform additional duties as assigned while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • The Junior Project Manager within the Epic PMO (Program Management Office) is a management-support associate responsible for project administration and support. Under the direction of multiple Program Managers or the Project Director, they will oversee the completion of project tasks and monitor adherence to perpetual project management process standards. The Epic Program Management Office will rely on the Junior Project Manager to follow up on due dates, open items, track issues, meeting minutes, etc. They apply their knowledge of the best practices for project administration to their key duties, including resource allocation, task planning and progress reporting. Candidate must be flexible and adaptive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. He / She must also be detail oriented and build trust through consistent work product delivery and reliable relationships.
